Store PoliciesFAQ-What do I need to start the background check on a long gun?You will need a Valid CA drivers license or ID card with your correct address and a valid firearm safety card. -What do I need to start the background check on a hand gun? You will need a Valid CA drivers license or ID card, a valid firearm safety card and a second proof of residency. -What do i need if my Drivers license or ID card has the wrong address? You will need to have with you a valid utility bill (Gas, Water, Light, Cable), Vehicle registration, or your filed current year tax return. You will need two if this is for a hand gun. -Can i buy a gun if I am not a citizen? Yes, you will need to bring you Permanent residency card. -What if i have an I-94 or student/work Visa? You will need your visa and a nonexpired hunting license. -How long is the background check? 10 days from when the paperwork is submitted. -I had a gun sent to you, can i start the background check while its on the way? No, we can not do anything until the gun is here and you come in with all required documents, and we have the firearm in our books. -My drivers license says FEDERAL LIMITS APPLY, is that okay? Yes, but you will need to bring a Valid Birth certicate, passport or permanent resident card to validate it. -My birth Certificate does not match my ID, what do i do? you will need a Proof of name change, marriage/divorce certificate, or amended birth certificate. -Can i use a utility bill that does not have my name on it? No, only a document with your name is considered a valid document. -Can is a photo or screenshot of my documents? No, only a physical copy of all documents is acceptable. -Will you call me if when my background check is over, or can i just call? We will not call you unless you have been delayed or denied, and we can not release any personal info unless you are here with your ID. -What would i be denied for? Please go to the California Department of Justice BOF for the list off deniable offenses. -My background check expired, what can I do? If you want to get your gun you will need to repay the D.R.O.S fee, and re-wait the 10 days regardless of whether or not you were approved. Otherwise you can get a refund, please look at the refund section for what would apply. -Can i buy a gun for someone or use someone else's credit or debit card? No, no matter the relation you would be in violation of Pen . Code, § 27540 and 18 U.S.C. 922(g), (n) or (x), for having commit a straw purchase. -Can i buy a gun at 18 Only if you have a valid hunting license and only for complete long guns until July 1st 2021. Please look at Senate Bill 61 for more details. How much do I need to pay to start the background check? The Full payment with be needed to start the background Check. Will you release the firearm if the status is undertermined? No, we do not release firearms on an undetermined status. Transfer FeesFirearms sent to us from another FFL will be charged with a $75 transfer fee per firearm, $37.19 DROS fee, and State sales tax (sales tax does not apply to gifts or if the invoice shows tax has already been collected).Firearms being transferred from one California resident to another, in store is a $10 transfer fee per firearm and $37.19 DROS fee. Transfer fee are nonrefundable. Storage Fees/ Abandoned Firearms & AmmunitionsFirearms that have been received and not DROS'd will be charged with a storage fee of $3 a day until the buyer comes in store to start the DROS process (storage is not charged if the gun has been in our possession for under a week). If a firearm has been in our possession for over 60 days with no DROS submission the firearms is considered abandoned and becomes property of CAP Tactical Firearms. We may, at our own discretion, return the firearm to the dealer or sell the firearm to reimburse storage, administrative, and transfer fees. Ammunition and accessories that has been received will be held for 30 days before it is either returned to the seller or disposed of, please Contact Us if you have any additional questions.FFL Transfers- AR LowersWe are only accepting transfer on stripped lower (no FCG, Buffer assembly, Grip, Magazine release). Any "complete" lowers that have the listed feature will be sent back to the seller after all fees have been paid.Cancelled OrdersAny cancelled orders will be subject to a 6% reversal fee plus return shipping/restocking fee if applicable.Customer ServiceIf you encounter any problems with your order or the checkout process, or if you have any questions about the status of your order, simply contact our customer service staff through our Contact Us page.Ammo Receiving FeesDue to a large number of people sending ammo to our location we are only accepting a maximum of 1,000 rounds at a time per customer. The receiving fees are $15 for 1-500 rounds and $25 for 501-1,000 rounds, also note that state law requires that we collect sales tax on all received item. please go to Contact Us for any question that weren't answered in our store policies.At this moment in time we are not doing any Private Party Ammo Transfers. Any order sent us that is over 1,000 round will be charged and overage fee of $25 per 500 rounds over. FFL Multiple Handgun PurchasesPlease note that California law states that only California residents who are with certain law enforcement agency's Click Here For List of Agencies , can DROS multiple handguns at one time. if you are not on the list, and have multiple handguns sent to us, only one handgun will be able to be DROS'd and the others will need to be stored for a minimum of 30 days before another handgun can be DROS'd. Firearms may become subject to Storage Fees. Please look at the Storage Fees sections for prices or contact us on any additional questions. This does not apply for a private party sale.Ammunition PurchasesYou must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with adult signature required. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms. Check your local laws for any other regulations. *All ammunition sales will comply with local and state laws and will not be shipped to any restricted areas.*Weekend/Holiday OrdersOnline orders purchased on weekend's or Holidays may not be processed or shipped till the next business day.CA Compliant PoliciesMagazines that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition may NOT be sold in California. Unless the buyer is active law enforcement.Semi-automatic long guns with detachable magazines (and certain other features) or that have been classified as assault weapons are no longer allowed to be sold in California. Firearm Safety Tests and D.R.O.S'sWe are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am till 7 pm, no appointments are necessary for taking the test, doing a private party transfer, or D.R.O.Sing an out of state transfer. However, in order to ensure that there is enough time to complete the listed services, we stop issuing tests and D.R.O.S's thirty minutes before we close (6:30pm). This does not include large number private party transfer as that takes significantly longer then thirty minutes, cut off time will depend on the number of guns.*PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME INFORMATION HAS CHANGED A RESULT OF SOCIAL DISTANCING AND THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC* Used FirearmsThe seller provides all descriptions for used items.
